DESCRIPTION:Sheila P has kindly offered to lead a walk starting from the car park at Upton House. Please arrange your own transport\, car sharing where possible\, and meet at the car park at 11 am. This is an easy walk of about two and a quarter miles with three stiles. There is a bit of a climb to start with and at one point we walk along the wide grass verge for about five minutes. Everyone is invited to bring a picnic to eat on our return to the car park at the top of which there are picnic tables and benches.If you don’t want to walk but would like to come for the picnic meet us at about 12.30 in the car park.

SUMMARY:Visit to the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies with a short talk and a tour of the buildings and gardens
DESCRIPTION:This visit has been arranged following a talk at our meeting in January. There will be a short introduction to the Centre\, followed by a guided tour of the buildings and the gardens\, both of which are of outstanding quality. \nDepending on numbers\, we hope to have the use of the Barton community bus which seats 15\, plus up to 3 cars with five members in each. This would allow 30 people to take part.. Parking at the Centre is limited to three cars and a coach and reaching it from Adderbury by public transport is complicated. The bus would leave at about 9.15 am and return to Adderbury after the visit. but there may be the option of a drop-off near the city centre for those who would like to spend time there and then take public transport home. The estimated cost is about £10 for transport and £2 for refreshments.
