SUMMARY:Exhibition of the 1921 banner made by members of the Adderbury and Milton WI in 1921
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to be able to display the 1921 banner to coincide with the Day of Dance. This is the occasion on which the Adderbury Morris sides dance at various venues in the village in memory of Janet Blunt without whom most of the dances from the 19th century would have been lost. Miss Blunt was a founding member of the Adderbury and Milton WI in 1921 and an important contributor to the design and making of the banner which now belongs to the National Needlework Archive. There will be displays of information about the history of the banner and the conservation work undertaken by eight of our members. We hope to serve tea\, coffee and cakes during the day. \nThe exhibition will also be open on Sunday 27 April from 10am to 3pm at Church House (the Library)

DESCRIPTION:As part of our commitment to improving the quality of water in our rivers and streams we will again be joining the national water testing event. This involves taking water samples at two convenient local sites of your choice using kits which Sandra will distribute and collect. It is a simple process and the instructions are easy to follow. DESCRIPTION:We meet at The Bell  Inn to discuss our latest read – Piranesi by Susanna Clarke and we will surely be reminiscing over our recently lost member\, Meriel\, who passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve. \nA memorial service was held for Meriel on Friday 14 February at St. Peter & St. Paul Church\, Deddington.  The church was filled with family members and many of Meriel’s friends\, including members of our book group and the wider Adderbury WI community.  Meriel was highly instrumental in our group’s set up and in remembrance of her many contributions to our discussions\, we have renamed our group as Meriel’s Book Group.  We meet every 4th Monday of the month at the Bell Inn\, Adderbury at 6.30pm
