In April every year we organise a village litter pick supported by Cherwell District Council as part of the Great British Spring Clean. On Saturday 9 April WI members and a record number of local residents worked their way round most roads and open spaces in the village. At the end of the morning a total of fourteen black bags had been filled, another record. Villagers who encountered us as we collected were very appreciative. Everyone who took part felt a sense of satisfaction at what had been achieved and we hope that a cleaner village will discourage littering in the future.
