We welcome women of all ages who are looking for friendship and support. We aim to provide members with opportunities to discover new interests and to take part in a wide variety of activities and campaigns.
All ideas and suggestions are always very welcome, whether it is regarding speakers, trips or any other activities. Also, if you have a skill or would like to learn something new, please do not hesitate to let us know.
At our July meeting we had a talk by Rebecca Nelson of the Mayday Trust and learnt about their changed approach to people who find themselves homeless. More details can be found on the History Page. Our next meeting is on Thursday 5 August and will be a social event in a member’s garden. We are looking forward to meeting again in person for the first time in a long while. Further details will be available shortly.
Our first group walk for over a year was on 23 June when we enjoyed a walk around Barton Abbey on a glorious summer evening. We are following this with another evening walk, this time a circle around Great Tew on Tuesday 13 July.
Following our successful village litter pick on Saturday 5 June, we are planning a further litter pick in the village on Saturday 25 September as part of our contribution to the Big Green Week.
Adderbury WI’s 2021 membership year started in April. Our Committee has put together an interesting and varied programme for our members for the coming 12 months and information about this can be found in the Calendar section of this website. We look forward to meeting up in person in The Institute or on the Green just as soon as Covid restrictions permit. In the meantime many members are enjoying our ‘virtual’ meetings via Zoom. We would be very happy to welcome new members to our group. For further information please contact our President on firstname.lastname@example.org
