We welcome women of all ages who are looking for friendship and support. We aim to provide members with opportunities to discover new interests and to take part in a wide variety of activities and campaigns.
All ideas and suggestions are always very welcome, whether it is regarding speakers, trips or any other activities. Also, if you have a skill or would like to learn something new, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday 1 July when our speaker will be Rebecca Nelson of the Mayday Trust. Rebecca will share with us the ways in which the Trust is working with homeless people to help them to move on in a positive way. It has now been confirmed that, due to Covid, this meeting will take place via Zoom. Hopefully, however, we will soon be able to resume our face to face meetings. Members will be updated and information regarding how our meetings will take place will also be posted on the website.
Adderbury WI organised a village litter pick on Saturday 5 June. With hi-viz vests, grabbers and bags provided by Cherwell District Council, a team of members and friends tackled the Oxford Road and Twyford area on a hot Summer morning. We were pleased with the results, but more needs to be done. Hopefully on a future occasion we can carry on the good work.
Adderbury WI’s 2021 membership year started in April. Our Committee has put together an interesting and varied programme for our members for the coming 12 months and information about this can be found in the Calendar section of this website. We look forward to meeting up in person in The Institute or on the Green just as soon as Covid restrictions permit. In the meantime many members are enjoying our ‘virtual’ meetings via Zoom. We would be very happy to welcome new members to our group. For further information please contact our President on firstname.lastname@example.org
