December 2020 Struffoli!
Mariella concluded her Italian festive presentation to us with a cookery demonstration of the traditional ‘struffoli’ which she described as exploding honey balls. It is clearly inspired by Vesuvius in whose shadow she grew up!
Blenheim Walk November 2020
Two of our members met at Blenheim Palace in Woodstock for a walk. The highlight was seeing the Standing with Giants remembrance tribute which was breathtaking in its simplicity.

September 2020 Walk at Great Tew
One of the walks that we have done several times this year is a circular walk from Great Tew. In September the field of quinoa was particularly impressive!

WI 10th Anniversary Card 2020
10 years ago Adderbury & District WI was founded, 5 years after Adderbury & Milton WI had closed. We had planned to celebrate our 10th Anniversary with a party but, due to Covid this was not possible. Instead we marked the event by sending a card to all our members. Summer 2020

The weather was stunning for this terrific circular walk starting from Souldern, through Aynho and back. Even the clouds were picturesque.

As we came back into Souldern at the end of our walk we passed the village pond and admired the quirky fountain/pump made by a villager from scrap metal during lockdown.

In early July we tried out a circular walk from Deddington and it took us through some lovely countryside – wonderful green hues everywhere.

A week after our Great Tew walk in hot sunshine 4 of our members did a great circular walk from Broughton Castle. The weather was overcast and it was cooler, but the scenery still stunning.
