‘Himalayan Dreams’. Our speaker this evening, Al Sylvester MBE,  spent 31 years in the RAF and served in the RAF’s Mountain Rescue Service for over 20 years. He has led various expeditions and will share his breathtaking experiences of trekking in the Himalayas. His presentation will detail the preparation needed for and the physical and mental emotions of trekking. His photos will open up the magical world of Nepal, its beautiful culture and people. One quote that encapsulates what we will see is ‘The Himalayas will bring tears to your eyes and then gently freeze them to your face.’
