Christmas Tree Festival

We have now paid for our tree and the craft group are busy creating the decorations for it. Times for each day's opening are to be confirmed. Help may be needed to set up and to dismantle the tree.

Monday Book Group Christmas party

Meriel has very kindly offered to host members of the Monday book group for a Christmas get-together.

Members Meeting

Our speaker this evening will be Dr Lyndsey Appleyard, Assistant Professor at Coventry University, who will explain the concept of financial wellbeing and the importance of conversations about money.

Wednesday Book Group

Our first meeting of 2024 will be hosted by Tricia. We will be talking about The Professor by Charlotte Bronte, written before Jane Eyre but only published the year after Charlotte had died. We will also decide on the programme for 2024, including the titles we plan to read and the venues for each meeting.

Craft Group Meeting

Janet's House

We are to make lanterns to celebrate Chinese New Year with David Yipp and create and dress, with favourite waterway scenes, our green heart display board for the Show the Love event at our 1 February Members' Meeting.  We are to meet at Janet's house.

Monday Book Group

As usual we will meet at the Bell at 6.30. Please contact Margaret for details of the books we hope to read in 2024. New members are always welcome.

Discussion Group

Our next get together will be at Harper's Coffee House. Do come and join us there at 2.30pm. We are always pleased to welcome members to our informal discussions of current issues. We will be in the room upstairs at Harper's. Just turn up!
