Our annual Christmas supper together will be at the Institute this year. Payment of £25 and your choice of dishes needs to be made by the WI meeting on  7 November. This is always a lovely evening with good food and a chance to enjoy each other's company.

Our title this month is The Alchemist by Paul Coelho.

We will meet on Wednesday 8th January, kindly hosted by Wendy, to discuss the American classic, Cannery Row by John Steinbeck.

At our first meeting of 2025 we will hear from Rod Roberts about his work in bomb disposal.

Members will gather at the Burrows at 2pm for lively discussions on a topic for today and the lives we live now.

Our Burn's Night party has had to be cancelled so we will meet, as usual, at 6.30pm to discuss our latest book  - Between the Stops - by Sandi Toksvig

This is the first meeting of a group of members and others from the community who are interested in playing mahjong. Janet P is kindly leading our first walk of the year to enjoy the snowdrops around Barton Abbey followed by optional lunch at The Grain Store. Meet at the Institute at 10.10am for car sharing.  

We are looking forward to welcoming author and broadcaster, Hugh Warwick, whose talk is called Hedgehog Highways - why we should care. This will be an open evening to which members of the public will be invited.
