    Members meet again on Monday 1 December  for another exciting afternoon of Mahjong

  • Christmas Tree Dressing

    Members will gather at St. Mary's to dress our Christmas Tree for St. Mary's Christmas Tree Festival

  • Christmas meal and social evening

    We do not have a formal meeting in December. Instead a team of members organise our Christmas meal which is sometimes followed by an entertaining activity. Confirmation of the venue and time will be available nearer the date.

  • Wednesday book group

    This month we have been reading The Time of the Child by Niall Williams and Dawn has kindly offered to host us. We will also share ideas for titles for our programme for 2026. If you are interested in joining us please contact Bernice who co-ordinates the group.

  • Mahjong Group meeting & Christmas mince pies

    Members met as usual at 2pm at The Library for another good session of our favourite game, with mulled wine and mince pies to celebrate the season. We will meet again on Monday 5 January for the start of our 2026 round of Mahjong meetings.

    Members will gather for the start of a New Year of Mahjong games today with much enthusiasm for the coming year. This meeting was cancelled due to icy road conditions and bad colds.

    Members will gather at The Burrow, Adderbury, at 2pm to discuss a range of interesting issues of the day and there will be coffee and cake too, to enjoy, while we put the world to rights ! xxx

  • Wednesday Book Group

    For our first meeting in 2026 we will be at Sandra's house to share our thoughts about Fundamentally, a novel by Nussaibah Younis, recommended by Wendy. It is promoted as 'a wildly funny and razor-sharp exploration of love, family, and religion and the decisions we make in pursuit of belonging'.
