This is an OFWI Centenary event and some of our members are going to Oxford Town Hall to hear Stella Rimington talk. Stella is a British author and was formerly Director General of MI5.

Come to Holly House for the second session of the day. We shall be decorating small cakes to be sold on our stall at the Christmas Market. Cakes and all equipment will be provided.

A circular walk of about 5 miles from Begbroke via Bladon, possibly with a meal afterwards for interested members. Meet at 9.20 am at the Institute to arrange car sharing.

There will be two sessions on the day and members can opt for either or both of them at a cost of £20 per session. This evening we will welcome Bruce Duncan whose 2015 book about his experiences in the army is titled The Loan Soldier. His talk tonight gives a snapshot of a military family living in unusual and challenging locations in terms of culture, poverty, politics, adventure and conflict.
