An hour to work on the flower beds we maintain in the hospice grounds. Just come along if you would like to join us. Our seeds are provided through the Kew Royal Botanic Garden Grow Wild Seed outreach project.

Our speaker this evening is Wendy Hart. Wendy lectures on Art History at Wroxton College and will introduce us to some of the women artists of the last five hundred years.

Our book for September is Nine Folds Make A Paper Swan by Ruth Gilligan and Bernice is kindly hosting our discussion.

A day to promote village organisations. We hope to run a stall to advertise our WI and perhaps to recruit new members as we did on the same occasion last year. Times to be confirmed.

A brief talk and demonstration of Taoist Tai Chi by a local instructor. There will be an opportunity for members to try some of the moves for themselves.

We will be discussing Girl Balancing, a collection of short stories by Helen Dunmore, published after her death. Su is our host for this evening.

We will visit the two current exhibitions, one of which is The Country Wife textile mural made by Constance Howard for the Festival of Britain in 1951. This is an OFWI Centenary event and some of our members are going to Oxford Town Hall to hear Stella Rimington talk. Stella is a British author and was formerly Director General of MI5.

Come to Holly House for the second session of the day. We shall be decorating small cakes to be sold on our stall at the Christmas Market. Cakes and all equipment will be provided.
