Women Working on Inland Waterways in WWII. Speaker: Barbara Hately.
Historian Barbara Hately will tell us this evening all about the Inland Waterways during the Second World War and how they were kept working by women who stepped in to the jobs vacated by men joining up to fight in the forces. The talk focuses on this little known area of women's war work and covers both the recruitment and conditions of service of these 'Idle Women' as they were called.

Craft Day at Caroline's to make Christmas tree decorations for our entry in Adderbury Christmas Tree Festival. Times to be confirmed.

This evening has been rearranged from the one planned for 12 December. We will meet at Tricia's house to discuss The Aftermath by Rhedian Brook.

Couture Millinery. Speaker: Lucy Bowler.
Lucy's first business venture was in children's craft kits which she successfully ran whilst studying for a degree and raising three children. Upon graduating she decided to become a milliner and has since met and trained with many well known teachers both in the craft and the millinery worlds. Lucy now owns Hilary's Hat Hire in Fritwell and has recently won an international hat design competition.
