We would be very happy to welcome any member interested in craft, either working on their own piece or joining our planning for a collaborative project such as our entry for the Christmas tree Festival. Our title for this evening is The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Sharaf. Set in Cyprus and England and with a tree as one of the characters, the novel explores the impact of the religious divisions of the island. Tricia will be our host this evening.

After our business section Thea Rogers will introduce us to seated Zumba. Thea is an experienced teacher who runs Zumba classes in Abingdon. She guarantees that everyone can take part as we will always be sitting down.

Our discussion this evening will be about A Dictionary of Mutual Understanding by Jackie Copleton. The book has an unusual format and tells of the effects on generations of Japanese, in Japan and America of the bombing of Nagasaki in 1945.
