For our discussion of this month's title we will meet as usual in the Bell pub at 6.30pm. New members are always welcome to the group which is co-ordinated by Margaret. Please let her know if you would like to come. We meet on the 4th Monday of every month except for August.
This evening we will welcome Sylvia Vetta, a freelance writer, author and speaker and a long-term contributor to the magazine of The Oxford Times. She has also written for other magazines on art, history and science-related events. Her subject this evening will be memoir.
This evening we will be discussing a non-fiction book by Caroline Crampton called The Way to the Sea:The Forgotten Histories of the Thames Estuary. which was recommended by one of our fellow readers.
Once again we will have a stall at the market. This is always a lovely event and an opportunity to raise much needed funds for our branch.
