 The 2015/2016 resolutions process

Next year’s resolution process will begin in early summer when the resolution submission forms are sent out to federations and WIs. However, this does not mean that you can’t start working on a resolution now. WIs who wish to submit a resolution for this process are encouraged to start researching and discussing their ideas as soon as possible. The below forms are for the 2014/2015 resolution process, but can be referred to for guidance when researching a resolution for the 2015/2016 process.

To read more about the stages involved in the resolution process please see below for this year’s resolution timetable (please note that these dates are subject to change for 2015/2016)

The 2014/2015 resolutions process

Members have made their selections, and as a result a resolution has been selected to be put forward to a vote at the Annual Meeting in June. WIs and federations will now hold resolution meetings to discuss this resolution, in order to help decide whether they wish to vote in favour or against the resolution.

The NFWI Public Affairs Department has compiled detailed notes to facilitate members’ discussions on this resolution. The notes outline the key issues addressed in the resolution, the current status and policy environment of the issues raised, and the main groups already working on the subject. Please use the notes to inform your further research. These notes can be downloaded here:

If any members have questions about the resolution, or about the voting process for the Annual Meeting, please get in touch with the Public Affairs department at [email protected], or by calling 020 7371 9300 ext.212.

There is a great deal to read but its all very interesting and informative.  I for one, am very excited to be part of this wonderful national organisation and for the stand it takes to improve our national and daily life.
