Minutes of the meeting held at Church House, Adderbury 7 May 2015 7.30 pm
- The President welcomed 30 members and 1 guest to the meeting

- Minutes of the meeting held on 2nd April 2015 were approved as a correct record and signed by Diane.
North Cherwell Group Meeting: 10 members attending this meeting on 22nd April at Bodicote where the new area Advisor, Stella Oakes, was introduced. The retiring Advisor was thanked for all her hard work and support over the years and presented with a gift. The speaker for the evening was unable to attend however, members were entertained with readings of love stories from books, interspersed with appropriate songs.
Wild Flowers: 60 packets of seeds have been received. Bodicote and Barford WIs were each given 2 packets. The rest have been planted at Katharine House Hospice to create a wild flower garden. It is hoped that they will be in flower for their open garden on 7th June.

Position of Treasurer: Chris Shafe has kindly agreed to take on this role and was thanked by the President.
News & Views: copies have been ordered for all members
Denman College: Chris Shafe reported on her recent photography course at Denman College. She encouraged members to look at what Denman has to offer and stressed that courses are open to anybody, not just WI members.

- Fundraising: Adderbury WI will be having a stall at Party in the Park on 20th June. Volunteers to man the stall and to bake cakes are asked to sign the list. Cakes should be taken to the field on the day or to Touchwood, Berry Hill Road, the day before.
- Correspondence /Communications: Programme: the President thanked Caroline for her hard work in getting the programme printed. Members were asked to take a copy.
School fete: 13th June. Adderbury WI will be having a ‘jar tombola’ stall. Jars to be filled and wrapped and taken to the June meeting. Volunteers needed to man the stall.
- Future activities: Bluebell walk at Ditchley Park 12th May. Meet at the Institute at 9.30am, dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead.
The book group will meet at 7.30 on 13 May at Tricia’s house to discuss ‘Some Luck’
The needlecraft group will meet at Maureen’s at 7.30 on 13 May.
Visit to Sulgrave Manor 28 May, £9 to be paid today. Leave the Institute at 6.30pm.
Farm Supper 25th June, courtesy of June Stilgoe. Supper to be preceded by a walk at 6.00pm. Families welcome.
9. Community Items: Mikron Theatre: 13th August at The Pig Place. This production will be about the WI.
Highgrove: Debby reported on the Gardening club’s recent visit to Highgrove. A further outing to Highgrove is being arranged for some time in August or September, cost about £45 to include coach and tour of the garden. The gardening club have visits to Wychwood Pottery (9th June) and Avondale & Ryton gardens (13th July) organised.
Bloxham Flower Club: open meeting 21st May at BGN 7.30pm with a demonstration by Julia Mitchell.
FOSMA: poetry evening 7.30pm 8th May, £6. Bring along a poem. Visit to Waddesdon Manor 5th June, £15 National Trust members, £28 non NT members
Adderbury Market: next market 14th May in the Institute.

Following refreshments, members discussed the resolution that is to be debated at the national congress. It was generally agreed that the motion was clear and although members agreed in principle to it, there was not enough information provided to allow members to vote confidently.
