I found a post from Charlbury WI  and from Oxfordshire Federation of Women’s Institutes on this wonderful news for Barbara Grey, which I thought every member of Adderbury WI  would not wish to miss.

Wonderful NEWS: Congratulations to Barbara Gray, who has been awarded the MBE. We are so proud of you Barbara.”

“”Barbara has been a WI since since 1964 and “has twice been elected the chairman of the of the Oxfordshire Federatio of Women’s Institutes, serving a total of six  years in the post.” A former primary school teacher” – Mrs.  Gray – “has been made an MBE for her services to the Women’s Institute (WI) in Oxfordshire.”
“Mrs. Gray is stepping down from the role at the end of 2015 and said she will miss it “terribly. The Women’s Institute has always been about friendship, and being involved in your local community.  I will miss the people.””
 These comments came from BBC News 30th December 2015 Oxford which I found online.
