Members gathered at The Institute for June’s meeting which began with our regular business section with discussions on future activities – Queen’s birthday celebrations, School and Church Fete, Party in the Park, Book group, walks and visits. Then Committee meeting report on the various matters from their last meeting, followed by a report on voting at NFWI Annual Meeting. This was followed by a report on a recent Denman Taster Day with photos and then Diane won our Denman Dip. Final discussions centred on correspondence/communications, any other business and community matters with mention of Katharine House open garden day on 5th June.
Guest Speaker for June was Vic Ince who gave an excellent presentation on Upton House.
Our next meeting is on Thursday, 7th July at The Institute with Guest Speaker Shelley Edwards from Trading Standards – Scams and Doorstep Crime.
My apologies for the lateness of this report and I have to say I am very sorry to have missed this meeting and Vic Ince’s presentation.
