Dear Members,
We were at the BBC Countryfile Show at Blenheim yesterday, thanks to Oxford WI Federation and it was a most exciting day. We watched the tractors exhibition, visited the Picnic Tree and shared our “Tree” stories and visited the Woodland Trust stand. They had a wonderful Tree poster on display and it is to be hoped this poster will be included in the Welcome Pack to new members soon.
The Show provided a wonderful array of gorgeous shopping outlets, a funfair with the most brilliant Helter-Skelter ride, Tractor Ted tractors for the children to clamber over and The Archers Team were there with a discussion group to the delight of avid fans.
Glorious food supplies were available everywhere,water sports, country-craft and country-side activity stands, the John Craven Arms Pub was open for thirsty visitors, crowds and crowds of people and the sun shone warm and brightly. Even the brisk breeze failed to mar a brilliant day. xxx
