Dear Members,

Love GWS gardening at KHH today, 22nd September 2016

WI GWS at KHH today, in the rain, clearing leaves, plant material and edging stones and rocks to make the ground ready for autumn seeding. Cleared ground allow seeds to get going and no warm blanket of decaying leaves keeps the earth clean for the next flowering season.

And, terribly exciting news to tell you, we have three Corncockle plants just beginning to bloom amongst the corn chamomile and the last remaining pink campions. The plants must have come from this year’s seeds from Kew Royal Botanic Gardens which I grew in my greenhouse into healthy young seedlings and then planted.

Just see my pics ….
