Adderbury & District WI

Our WI GWS garden at KHH Adderbury now has cornflowers from the new seedlings planted just a few weeks ago. Clearance of spent plant matter continues and we hope to re-seed with saved seeds shortly, depending on the weather. We look forward to another year of bright wild seed flower blooms in 2017.

Here is a photo from 2nd Sept. 2015 when we still had a few poppies in bloom with the corn chamomile. We hope for more poppies in 2017 xx

WI wild flower gardening at Adderbury Lakes

WI wild flower gardening at Adderbury Lakes has temporarily been put on hold due to contractors working on the pathways about the Lakes. Our garden was bright with ox-eye daisies, a few cornflowers and one white campion when we last visited our beds. A few deadly nightshade plants have appeared and we have also hosted one selfheal plant recently. This little gem has also been spotted at other locations too which is very exciting.

Earlier in the summer I spotted a lovely blue cranesbill plant and I look forward to its return sometime.
