Dear Members,
Adderbury & District WI GWS wildflower gardening at KHH last Thursday where, after the last few weeks of regular work on our areas within the main KHH beautiful gardens, our perennial plants now into their third year’s presence, are looking really good. This week the rake and hoe were applied enthusiastically, a few wild plants removed to the lower bed with its summer-shade canopy of greenery – so only weeds and thistles – knapweed – and others manage to survive, and edging work, which made our main bed look really good. The border of kindly given KHH plants – primroses etc, and plants from friends, are all at their Spring-Best performance and our second bed, still requiring a little attention, is doing its best to keep up with its neighbour. Hopefully, we shall be able to re-sow soon and already I’m looking forward to a bright summer of fresh and perennial wild flower blooms.
And, news update for their annual Open Day at KHH – first weekend of June – on Sunday, 4th June and hopefully our WI wildflower area will be looking its best for this very special event and occasion.
here’s how our area is looking good – now xxx
