Dear Members,
Adderbury WI Wildflower gardening on Saturday 8th April with Adderbury Lakes Working Party, dividing four of our ox-eye daisy plants. They have grown so well since bedding in last spring 2016 it was thought a good idea to divide and plant out in adjacent beds to increase the wildflower stock and bring more wild blooms to Adderbury Lakes.
The plants were in very shallow beds making it quite easy to dig up and lift out, then water well and find new planting sites, which other members did for me. There are other clumps which could be divided up in the autumn, making for a wider spread of wild flowers, which will further add to the Lakes stock of natural flowers.
Our plants will need regular watering to help them become established and prosper in this present dry spell along with plug plants, also to be cared for.
here are two photos from Saturday and one flowering plant from 2016 …..
